The Organization: Our Client is the world’s leading provider of online data, analytic and forecasting platforms for key vertical sectors.

Role:

The main role of the selected candidate would be to set up Utilities, Energy and Natural Resources practice area in the Indian office of the company. This would involve delivering existing content sets, building new products and also undertaking consulting assignments. The scope of research would involve tracking global markets.

The candidate hired would be required to work in close coordination with senior management in Energy and Natural Resources business unit of the company.

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate would lead Energy, Utilities and Natural Resources team based in India. The primary focus of this role is to help senior management expand the team and double the size of business of the energy vertical in next one year.
The role will be to guide the team through content expertise and provide thought leadership.

Project Management:

Manage projects to produce deliverables to management / client-requested Time frames. Translate thought-leadership into actionable work plans for team with realistic timelines.

Project execution:

Understanding the reasoning behind a project, the client’s agenda and the priorities of the different project elements. Demonstrate the ability to identify and structure project-related issues, analyze these and develop recommendations.

Client Management:

Identify and understand clients’ needs and maintains relationships with them. Develop on-going and in-depth contact with clients through projects, conferences and constant communication.

Team Management:

Manage a team of analysts and senior analysts and guide them on project execution and achieving delivery targets and ensure high quality output from them.

Group Development / Business Development:

Support the team in developing new propositions, and engineer existing propositions to compete effectively. By anticipating hot issues, client needs and industry trends; you will proactively suggest topics that will capture the imagination of clients and drive future business.

The Selected candidate should be:

Education:

Higher degree at well recognized University, preferably in business and engineering

Analytical skills:

Ability to conceptualize and analyze beyond data processing, is an emphasis for this position. Ability may be demonstrated by previous achievements, academic track-record or extra- curricular activities

Work experience:

A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a Energy and Natural Resources related domain in management consultancy / market analysis firm involving strategic projects for Senior Management is required

Communication skills:

Ability to summarize and communicate project findings verbally, numerically an graphically through presentations

Soft skills:

Focus, delivery on time and attention to detail are required. A creative and critical mind, questioning project elements in the interest of the final outcome will be supported

Dynamic personality:

Self motivated, go-getter attitude and zeal to excel are required for the role

Computer skills:

MS Office (advanced power point skill is a must), Advanced excel (preferably Visual Basic) is preferred but not mandatory
