Position Description
Designation – Area Sales Director (Minimum 6-8 years of exp)
Reports into – Regional Sales Director – Indian Subcontinent
Reportees – 2~4 Area Sales Manager
Location – Mumbai (1 Position), Delhi (1 Position).
Role:
The Area Sales Director (ASD) has overall responsibility for driving
revenue in a particular market/area achieved through effectively
recruiting, managing, coaching and leading a sales team in accordance
with the revenue targets set by the Company.
Key responsibilities:
- Accountable for managing the sales performance of each team
member, ensuring maximized productivity and results; while providing
consistent feedback, coaching, training, and performance management, as
needed.
- Maintains a proactive candidate pipeline in order to be able
to confidentially churn bottom performers.
- Provides daily leadership, communicates strategic direction
and manages the execution of the sales team as it relates to: deal
pricing, workstation optimization, competition strategy, marketing
plans, broker plans, etc.
- Drives revenue by effectively and consistently ensuring their
sales team is selling all products and services at competitive prices
while maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Drives high conversion of all products through effectively
following the sales process, ultimately resulting in a positive impact
to the occupancy and profitability.
- Drives price through managing margins and developing pricing
plans.
- Manages the renewal process and strategy in conjunction with
the Area Operations Director.
- Develops a proactive call plan strategy to be executed by the
sales team aimed at agents, 3rd parties, local key accounts and
neighbouring businesses to ensure new business sales and revenue
targets are achieved. Also works closely with the marketing team to
help provide local market knowledge.
- Has a firm grip on the market intelligence within the cluster
by ensuring that the sales team obtains, maintains and updates
competitive intelligence
- Implements and ensures full use of Sales tools and systems,
ensuring compliance and data integrity.
Ideal Candidate
An ideal candidate would be: –
* Minimum of 6-8 years experience in direct B2B sales management
capacity in a service related industry.
* Target Industry – Aviation, Media, Hospitality, Services,
Telecom, etc.
* Should have managed a team, and sizeable business in past 4
years
* Proven Sales leadership with a direct sales force in a
business-to-business sales environment.
* Experienced developing, coaching and managing a high-performing
sales team in a competitive and result driven environment.
* Professional and clear communication skills coupled with the
ability to network at high level and build strong business
relationships.
* Proven objection handling, prospecting and negotiation skills
* Customer service focused at all times with the ability to remain
flexible and calm in high pressure or continually changing situations.
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel
& PowerPoint.
* College degree preferred
